“Lions of the Skeleton Coast” roars back to Cinema screens in Namibia!

Wednesday 19 November 2025

To all Namibian Desert lion friends and supporters - at last, we are bringing the extraordinary true story of Alpha, Bravo and Charlie back to their homeland…

After an exclusive screening on the 21st November in Windhoek, our film “Lions of the Skeleton Coast” will shine on the silver screen at Ster-Kinekor in The Grove Mall from the 28th November.

Between the 22nd and 26th November we will travel through the Northwest of Namibia with Dr Philip Stander and a passionate team of Desert lion supporters, to take the film on a roadshow - screening the film in the open air at five rural villages. From Twyfelfontein, Erwee and Bergsig, to Warmquelle and Purros, our team hopes to reach a large audience in the conservancies where people co-exist with Desert lions. Joined by the Lion Rangers, we aim to make this an invaluable outreach initiative to educate and inspire the local communities. Along with screening the film we will hand out the Pako Kids Magazine, - a Desert lion special edition -, to all the schools and children, celebrating the lions with Namibia’s young readers as well.
